JASON HINK

Jason Hink began his broadcasting career in 1995 at Lighthouse Radio Group in North Bend, Oregon. He worked as a weekend DJ at the company's two FM stations and broadcast high school baseball on its all-sports AM station during the spring.

In 1997, Jason was hired by Brooke Communications in Roseburg. He worked as a part-time fill-in DJ for the station's two FM music stations and was the color commentator for Dr. Stewart's American Legion Baseball during the summer. He also did the play-by-play for many of those games during his three-year stay. During this time, Jason also enjoyed a brief three-month stint as a sports reporter for the News-Review, Douglas County's daily newspaper. He covered the Dr. Stewart's American Legion Baseball State Tournament run in Eugene and previewed high school football teams that fall.

Jason entered local television in 2000 at KPIC in Roseburg. He spent eight years with the company, working as a news and sports reporter for seven years. He went behind the scenes with short stints in marketing and commercial production in 2007-08. He also continues to freelance as a commercial producer and event videographer.

Jason is the founder of DouglasCountySportsOnline.com. He first experimented with web based sports coverage in 2005 when he successfully launched several live internet radio broadcasts from his personal website. His official website can be found at JasonHink.com.

BRENT NEWTON

Brent Newton began his broadcasting career in 1992 at WMKY Radio in Morehead, KY. He worked as a Morning News Anchor and host of the Halftime Show for Morehead State University football broadcasts on the Eagle Sports Network.

In 1993, Brent was hired as the play-by-play announcer for South Medford High School football broadcasts before becoming the News Director at Coquille River Broadcasters in Coquille, Oregon. He also served as the play-by-play announcer for the Far West League Game of the Week during the 1996-97 football and basketball seasons.

Brent was then hired as the News and Sports Director at Brooke Communications in Roseburg where he worked from 1997-2002.  He also served as the play-by-play broadcaster for Roseburg High School football, boys basketball and Dr. Stewart’s American Legion Baseball broadcasts.

Brent, a native of Medford, OR, graduated from Medford Senior High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, OR. He has been married to his wife, Camille, since 1999 and they have one dog, Willy. He owns and operates an insurance agency, 'A' Mr. Auto of Douglas County.

Brent is the lead sportscaster for DouglasCountySportsOnline.com. He has been active in the company's development since 2006.
