It was a good day for the Glide High School softball and baseball teams.

The softball team upended Grant Union 8-6; and the Wildcat baseballers beat Salem Academy 8-3 Wednesday afternoon.

Both 3A playoff games were played in Glide.

The next games for both squads are identical as sixth-ranked Glide (17-5) heads to #3 Dayton for a quarterfinal softball matchup; and the #6 Wildcat boys (20-6) also hit-the-road for a playoff battle with, you guessed it, third-ranked Dayton.
