The Glide softball team was eliminated from the OSAA 3A state playoffs Friday afternoon.

Third-ranked Dayton handed the #6 Wildcats an 8-2 loss in a quarterfinal matchup at Dayton High School.

Glide finishes the season with an overall record of 17-6.

North Douglas is headed to the 2A/1A semifinals thanks to its 7-4 win at Central Linn.

Next up, the #5 Warriors (19-5) travel to top-ranked Kennedy (20-4) on Tuesday, May 30.
