GLIDE, Ore. -- The Glide baseball team is making a return trip to the 3A championship game following a 9-5 win over Mountain Valley Conference rival Pleasant Hill in the semifinals Tuesday in Glide.

With the game tied 3-3 going to the bottom of the third, the Wildcats scored 4 runs to pull ahead for good in the contest.

10th-seeded Pleasant Hill (15-10 overall) had won two of three games against #6 Glide (22-6) during the regular season.

The Wildcats face #4 St. Mary's of Medford (25-4) in the state title game on Friday at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer. Game time is set for 5 p.m.

Elsewhere, Reedsport's 5th-seeded baseball team knocked off #1 Dufur 7-4 to earn a shot at the 2A/1A championship against #2 Knappa. The game is Friday, 1:30 p.m., at Volcanoes Stadium.

In 2A/1A softball, 5th-seeded North Douglas upset #1 Kennedy 3-2 Tuesday and will play for the state title against #2 Pilot Rock on Friday at the OSU Softball Complex in Corvallis. Game time is 1 p.m.
