MEDFORD, Ore. -- A local club softball team took home a state title over the weekend.
Roseburg Indian Fastpitch defeated Crater 7-3 Sunday to cap a 5-win day and take home the ASA state title for the 16U division in 90-plus degree heat in Medford.
The team won 7 out of 8 games at the tournament, playing must-win games throughout after losing in an earlier round.
The team is made up of players from around Douglas County.
