The Umpqua Lions will join Roseburg Pepsi at the upcoming single-A American Legion baseball state tournament.

Roseburg split its final league doubleheader with Grants Pass and clinched the league's #3 seed in the postseason.

The Diggers won the opener 5-2, but Umpqua jumped out to a 9-0 lead and rolled to a 14-7 victory in game two.

In the nightcap, Steven Hagar went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI's and Tanner Lierman added a pair of hits and 2 RBI's in the win.

Umpqua (14-14) opens tournament play on Wednesday, July 26 against host North Marion.
