State tournament host North Willamette Valley beat Roseburg Pepsi 12-10 Thursday night in Aurora.
The Bottlecaps (22-8) stayed close throughout the game and actually jumped in front 9-8 after at a bases clearing double by Jacob Westwang in the top of the 4th inning.
North Willamette Valley stormed back with 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th and held off Roseburg for the two-run victory.
Offensively, Garrett Russell and Brody Black each had 3 hits and Doran Gillespie homered for the Bottlecaps.
Next up, Pepsi plays Area 4 rival North Coos in an elimination game Friday at 5:00PM.
