The Pepsi Bottlecaps won their 2nd straight elimination game and have made it to the final day of the 2017 single-A state American Legion baseball state tournament.

Rightfielder Garrett Russell was 2-for-4 with 3 RBI's; and righthander Brody Black pitched a complete game as Roseburg beat La Grande 5-2 Saturday at North Marion High School.

Pepsi (24-8) must beat host North Willamette Valley twice on Sunday to win the state title.

First pitch is set for 1:00PM.

On a positive note, both teams have already qualified for next week's Regional tournament at Swede Johnson Stadium. That's because Eugene does not have a single-A team to host the event.
