MEDFORD, Ore. -- How many games in a row can the Indian Fastpitch summer softball team win? Answer: at least 21.
That's where the Indians' win streak now stands following two wins Thursday at the ASA Western National Championships in Medford.
The Roseburg-based team featuring players from around Douglas County won its first game, 5-1, against the Idaho Sooners.
In the nightcap, the Indians defeated San Marcos, Calif., for the second time in the tourney, this time 11-0 in five innings.
According to coaches, the turf at the field in Medford got up to a high of 147 degrees during the day.
