ROSEVILLE, Calif. – The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West rolls into Roseburg for the Clint Newell Auto Group Toyota 150 at the Douglas County Speedway presented by NAPA AUTO PARTS on Saturday, Aug. 26.

A full day of racing is on tap for the fairgrounds track, with the action to include the Cascade Community Credit Union Columbia River Legends Shootout and competition with the PRA Hardtops.

There will be plenty of attention on the K&N West, where Bill McAnally Racing teammates Todd Gilliland and Chris Eggleston are separated by just two points in their battle for this year’s championship. The pair tangled while racing for the win on the tight 3/8-mile Roseburg track last year.

They were joined at BMR this year by series rookie Derek Kraus, who leads the rookie points and is third in the overall standings.

Gilliland – a 17-year-old from Sherrills Ford, North Carolina – wheels the No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry for BMR. He won the series championship last year with a record-setting rookie season. In winning the championship, he became the youngest champion in the history of the K&N West, at 16 years 5 months old; as well as establishing a NASCAR record as the youngest champion in any NASCAR national or touring series.

Gilliland is running the full schedules in both the East and West divisions of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series this year. While he leads the standings of the K&N West, he trails by a slim margin in the K&N East championship chase. A member of the NASCAR Next program that spotlights NASCAR’s rising stars, he has scored five wins in the K&N West so far this year.

Eggleston, who won the 2015 series championship in his first full season on the circuit, drives BMR’s No. 99 NAPA Filters / H20 Fire Protection Toyota Camry. The Erie, Colorado driver has notched four series wins so far this year.

Kraus – a 15-year-old series rookie from Stratford, Wisconsin – pilots the No. 19 Carlyle Tools Toyota Camry. He has registered three runner-up finishes in the series this year.
