CAMAS VALLEY, Ore. -- The Camas Valley football team knocked off the state's top ranked 1A team Friday afternoon in a Special District 2 playoff at Camas Valley.
The Hornets (8-1 overall, ranked No. 3 in OSAA) jumped out to a quick cushion against No. 1 Triad (8-1) and cruised to a 34-16 win, handing the Timberwolves their first loss of the year.
Friday's victory avenged an earlier 28-14 loss to Triad back on September 16.
