PORTLAND, Ore. -- The National Football Foundation Oregon Chapter has selected 16 football players from the state of Oregon to be recognized as Football Scholar-Athletes for 2017.
South Umpqua's Taylor Gross and Johnathan Warner were among the selections.
They will be introduced at the 57th Scholar-Athlete Banquet on February 25 at the Red Lion Hotel on The Columbia River at Jantzen Beach.
The banquet starts at 5 p.m. and tickets can be purchased online at www.nfforegon.org.
Here are the 16 players receiving recognition and a partial tuition scholarship:
6A/5A Linemen:
