South Umpqua kept its playoff hopes alive with a key road win at North Bend on Friday.

Freshman Jadyn Vermillion poured-in 17 points and junior Aaliyah Rudy added 11 points in a 48-38 Far West League victory over the Bulldogs.

SU is now 3-3 in league and and 9-10 overall.

The win sets up a battle for 3rd-place against Douglas (3-3, 10-9) Tuesday night in Tri City.

The Lancer boys (0-6, 4-15) lost to North Bend 60-51 and remain winless in league play.
