CAMAS VALLEY, Ore. -- The Camas Valley girls scored a first-round playoff win Tuesday in Class 1A basketball.

The Hornets knocked off visiting Siletz Valley 33-26 to advance to Friday's second round as one of 16 1A teams still playing in Oregon.

Alissa Vradenberg led Camas with 7 points while Natasha Hibson and Hailey Holmgren chipped in 6 a piece.

Camas Valley improved to 15-11 overall. Siletz Valley Early College Academy, located in Lincoln County and member of the Mountain West League, saw their season end at 12-13.

Elsewhere, the Elkton girls lost their playoff game against Hosanna Christian, 61-29.
