Senior Clay Sullivan scored 37 points to lead Vernonia to a 55-50 win over Oakland in the third-place game at the OSAA 2A boys state tournament Saturday night at the Pendleton Convention Center.

The Oakers (25-5) were led by Cameron Benzel's 26 points.

Andrew Harrington and Nic Freeman had 6 points each, and Nathan Chastain and Colton Brownson finished with 5 points apiece.

Oakland was 1-2 at the tournament and takes home the 5th-place trophy.
