ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The City of Roseburg is offering its Low Impact Fitness Class beginning Tuesday, October 2 at the Boys & Girls Club (1144 NE Cedar Street) in Roseburg.
The class takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9–9:45 a.m.
The program is co-sponsored by the City of Roseburg Parks & Recreation Division and ATRIO Health Plans.
"Come and exercise in a FUN group atmosphere!" the City of Roseburg said in a news release. "Workouts change daily so every day is a new and exciting workout."
The cost is $1 per class on a drop-in basis. No time commitments or pre-registration are required, "just come when you can."
They say to wear comfortable walking shoes.
"This fun program offers older adults an opportunity to socialize while enjoying a light exercise routine," the City says. "Participants will warm-up with some stretching, followed by low-impact exercise. Class will close with stretching and a cool down period."
Organizers say participants should wear loose, comfortable clothing and good walking shoes or sneakers.
