COOS BAY, Ore. -- Two Douglas County teams were victors in their respective league tournaments Saturday evening at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay.
The Days Creek boys defeated Riddle 45-43 in the Skyline League Tournament finale.
The No. 8 Wolves improved to 20-5 overall while Riddle fell to 22-4.
Days Creek takes the top seed in the Skyline to the state playoff while Riddle takes the second seed.
North Douglas took the third and final seed following a 45-32 win over Umpqua Valley Christian in the Skyline tourney's third place game.
On the girls side, North Douglas took top honors with a 29-25 win over Days Creek in the Skyline League Tournament title game.
The Warriors (22-4 overall) take the league's top seed while the Wolves (16-9) are the #2 seed.
Elkton takes the third seed with a 41-26 win over Pacific. The Elks face Chiloquin in a state playoff on Wednesday, Feb. 20.
