Volleyball squads from Douglas County hit the floor at state tournaments Saturday, including two teams playing in the Class 3A tournament at Forest Grove High School.

The eighth-seeded Sutherlin girls took home 4th place with a 3-1 win over No. 6 Burns Saturday.

The fifth-seeded South Umpqua girls suffered a 3-2 defeat against No. 2 Salem Academy on Saturday. The Lancers finished in 5th place.

In the Class 1A tournament, Days Creek took home the 3rd-place trophy with a 3-0 win over Ridgeview.
