OREGON CITY, Ore. -- The Umpqua Community College women's basketball team made it a clean sweep, winning all three of its games at the Clackamas Thanksgiving Tournament in Oregon City.
On Sunday, the RiverHawks faced a challenge against Southwestern Oregon, and the Lakers (2-5 overall) led by 4 points at the half before UCC came back for an 83-74 win at Randall Hall.
Douglas High alum Darian Mitchell led UCC with 24 points; Sienna Riggle netted 21 and Cielo Gonzalez chipped in 13.
Grace Campbell led the RiverHawks with 10 rebounds.
Umpqua (4-0) is back in action on Friday, Dec. 6, at the Centralia College Blazer Classic in Centralia, Wash.
The RiverHawks will take on the host team, Centralia, at 7 p.m.
The tournament runs through Sunday, Dec. 8.
