Two local cross country teams received votes in the latest AP class 4A polls. The Sutherlin girls are ranked 10th and the South Umpqua boys came in at number 18.

Far West League foe, Siuslaw, is top-ranked on both the girls and boys side, while the North Bend boys are sitting in the number eight spot.

Last season, Sutherlin's Chelsea Spencer took home a second place trophy at the OSAA Cross Country State Championships. The Bulldogs finished ninth as a team.
