Douglas (1-1) made quick work of the visiting Falcons by jumping out to a 33-7 first half lead.

The two-time defending Far West League champions were coming off a 22-20 loss to Phoenix in their season opener.

There was a full slate of action around the county as Sutherlin improved to 2-0 on the season with a 40-28 win over Cottage Grove; Roseburg downed Sprague 33-7; Glide beat Harrisburg 49-26; and Elkton got by Perrydale 44-32.

The Mountain View Conference kicked off its league schedule as North Douglas shutout Riddle 44-0; Glendale downed Oakland 26-20; and Yoncalla was too much for Days Creek 42-0.
