The Roseburg High School girls and boys swim teams both finished in fifth place at the 6A Swimming State Championships Saturday afternoon at the Mt. Hood Aquatics Center in Gresham.

Junior Kaylin Bing won both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events, plus she helped the Indians capture the 400 yard freestyle relay title (Bing, Melissa Lund, Rachel Murphy and Molly Moore). 
 
Corey Williams had three second-place finishes including the 100 yard breaststroke; 200 yard freestyle relay (Justin Becherer, Williams, John Bing and Jessie Archambault); and the 400 yard freestyle relay (Justin Becherer, Williams, John Bing and Jessie Archambault).

Jesuit (196.5) took home the girls title followed by Lakeridge (180); Sunset (127); Southridge (91); and Roseburg (87).

Grant (104) won the boys crown, just ahead of Newberg (100); McMinnville (92); Westview (91); and Roseburg (85).
