A pair of local girls basketball players received their league's top honor.

Far West League coaches selected Sutherlin sophomore Miranda Mendenhall as Player of the Year; and Yoncalla's Brianne Joslyn was named co-MVP of the Skyline League.

First team all-Far West League recipients also included Ricki Mock and Cheyenne LeFevre of Sutherlin; and Douglas senior Anna Reitmann.

Glide junior Amanda Hatley was a first team all-Sunset Conference selection, while Yoncalla's Tabitha Shaw; Elkton senior Alauna O'Brien; and Julia Mooney of Camas Valley were named to the Skyline League's first team. 

Coach of the Year awards went to Sutherlin's Josh Grotting and Yoncalla's Bid Van Loon.
