191110 Days Creek footballThree Douglas County prep football teams advanced with state playoff wins over the weekend in their respective classifications.

In the Class 2A OSAA playoffs, county rivals Glide and Oakland faced off with the Oakers picking up the win at home, 20-6.

The ninth-seeded Oakers will face the top-seeded team, Kennedy, next week in the quarterfinals.

In the 1A playoffs, Camas Valley racked up a lot of offense in an 86-50 win over Mapleton and Days Creek advanced with a 50-34 victory over Pilot Rock.

The No. 4 Hornets take on 12th-seeded Powder Valley on Saturday, and No. 9 Days Creek travels to top-seeded St. Paul on Friday.

Elsewhere, Sutherlin fell to Cascade Christian 54-28 in the 3A playoffs and Hosanna Christian eliminated North Douglas in the 1A playoffs, 60-28.
