The Roseburg Indians battled to a 21-21 halftime tie against top-ranked Sheldon, but the Irish turned things around in the second half to pick up a 42-21 victory over the fourth-ranked Indians in a Special District 1 football game Friday night at Dennis Ludwig Stadium in Eugene.
Four second half turnovers, including a fumble recovery for a touchdown, were the difference in the ballgame as the Irish (5-0, 7-0) outscored Roseburg 21-0 over the final two periods.
Selmar Hutchins III had a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Indians (4-1, 6-1).
Next up, Roseburg plays host to North Medford (3-2, 4-3) on Friday, October 22.
