rhs_102210b.jpgThe Roseburg Indians clinched second place in  Southern Oregon's Special District 1 with a 28-7 victory over North Medford Friday night.

The Indians (5-1, 7-1) did not commit a turnover in the game, which saw RHS jump out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. North (3-3, 4-4) cut the lead in half just before halftime, but Roseburg would slowly pull away for the home victory at Finlay Field. 

Quarterback Micah Audiss threw the ball just four times, completing two passes while running for 117 yards on 14 carries. Hector Mandera scored a touchdown on 122 yards of offense for the Indians. 

Roseburg will close out the regular season next Friday on the road at Crater. The Comets are 2-6 overall; and 0-6 in conference play.
