rhs_westlinn.jpgRoseburg has moved into the quarterfinals of the 6A football state playoffs for the first time since 1998 thanks to a 12-7 victory over West Linn Friday night at Finlay Field.

Quarterback Micah Audiss ran 13 yards for the first score of the game; and tossed a 23 yard touchdown pass to Chris Shoffner to give the Indians (10-1) a 12-0 advantage.

The Lions' Christian Wilson scampered 10 yards to cut the lead to 12-7 in the second quarter, but neither team would score again as Roseburg held on for the five-point win.

Audiss and fullback Ben Goirigolzarri combined for 117 yards on 29 carries

Next up, the Indians travel to Portland for a Friday night matchup with Aloha.
