Three volleyball coaches and one player from Douglas County received their league's top honors for the 2010 season.

Coach of the year awards went to Umpqua Valley Christian's Vanessa Seamans; Reedsport's James Hixenbaugh and Days Creek's Ron Dunn. The Mountain View Conference player of the year award was given to Days Creek senior Mishelle Saucedo.

Four other local athletes joined Saucedo on the MVC's first-team including teammate Nicole Ellis; North Douglas senior Kaitlynn Rice; Riddle's Pele Gianotti; and Hayley Reynolds of Yoncalla.

Douglas sophomores Kristin Epps and Riley Van Horn were first-team selections in the Far West League .

Glide's Jessica Strader; and Reedsport's Eden Huebner and Monica Vaughn were first-teamers in the Sunset Conference.

First-team honors in the 1A Skyline League went to UVC's Samantha Seamans; Camas Valley's Cheyenne Baker; and Elkton senior Rachel Winslow.
