The Douglas football team couldn't find enough offense after Baker outscored the Trojans 14-0 in the second half en route to a 34-20 victory in the OSAA 4A state championship game at Hillsboro High School Saturday. It's the second straight year the Bulldogs (12-1) have played in the state championship, having lost to Marist a year ago.

Douglas (11-3) led 20-13 late in the second quarter before a late score with no time left in the half put Baker up 21-20 at halftime. The Trojans were unable to score in the second half, dashing any hopes of a title in the program's first-ever state championship appearance. The 2010 season marked just the second time Douglas had won a post-season game; its first since 1992.

Elsewhere, T.J. Weisz rushed for 323 yards as St. Paul won its second consecutive title with a 22-8 victory over Camas Valley in Saturday's OSAA 1A state championship game at Liberty High School in Hillsboro.

The Hornets (12-2) took an 8-6 lead midway through the third quarter, but the Buckaroos (15-0) answered with a pair of touchdowns and a goal line stand to hang on for the 14 point win.

Defensive back Eli Wolfe led Camas Valley with 11 tackles.

There were three other champions crowned Saturday as Sherwood knocked off Marist 26-23 in the 5A final; Rainier won the 3A trophy with 40-26 win over Santiam Christian; and Scio captured the 2A title with a 46-8 victory over Gold Beach.
