Roseburg captured its second consecutive OSAA 6A state wrestling championship Saturday night at Memorial Coliseum in Portland.

The Indians (212) outscored second-place Sprague (105.5) by nearly 100 points; Grants Pass (100.5) was third; Newberg (99.5) fourth; and McNary (88) rounded out the top five.   

RHS had four individual champions including Drew VanAnrooy (130); Chayse Jackson (140); Seth Thomas (152); and Dylan Fors (171). Reed VanAnrooy (135); Javier Mandera (152); and Devan Fors (189) finished in second place; Selmar Hutchins III (189) and Marq Randall (285) took fourth.

Douglas senior Tyson Dahl (152) captured the title at the 4A championships; teammate Eric Warren (135) finished fifth; South Umpqua's Guy Russell (145) took second; and SU's James Simmons (160) was fifth.

Glide's Walker Damewood (119) took home the first place trophy at the 3A event. Four other Wildcats finished in the running as Brandon Kame (119) ended up in fifth place; Tyler Jenks (112) was sixth; Jacob Forrester (135) took fourth; and Luke O'Connor (140) was third.

Four Reedsport wrestlers won state titles at the 2A/1A tournament led by 103 Anthony Halstead (103); Bobby Short (145); Jon Thurber (152); and Andrew Orr (160).

Oakland's David Henry (215) also won an individual championship; and Riddle's Zack Reid (215) finished in third place.

Team championships went to Hermiston (5A); Henley (4A); Burns (3A); and Culver (2A/1A).
