Seven local volleyball players received all-state recognintion for the 2010 season.

Roseburg senior Bree Thomas was a second-team selection in class 6A voting. The outside hitter led the Indians in kills as they won the Southern Oregon Hybrid title and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs.

The 2A all-state teams were littered with Douglas County athletes including first-team selection Eden Huebner of Reedsport.

Second-team honors went to Days Creek's Mishelle Saucedo; and Reedsport's Monica Vaughn and Susi Martinez.

Senior Kaitlynn Rice of North Douglas; and Days Creek's Nicole Ellis were named to the third-team.
