Chelsea Spencer hit the game winning shot with no time on the clock to lift Oakland to a 41-39 win over second-ranked Riddle in a Mountain View Conference girls' basketball game Thursday night at the Nut House.
The Irish (4-1, 10-1) erased a 39-28 third quarter deficit and eventually took a two-point lead, but the Oakers scored the final four points of the contest and handed Riddle it's first loss of the season.
Oakland (3-1, 7-6) got eight points apiece from Spencer, Mikayla Young and Brooke Spencer.
Pele Gianotti had a game-high 20 points for the Irish.
Despite the loss, Riddle remained in first-place following Glendale's 38-37 victory over Yoncalla; Days Creek beat North Douglas 31-20; and Oakridge downed Crow 54-27.
The Oakland boys dropped Riddle 74-33 to earn their first MVC win of the season; Yoncalla rolled over Glendale 73-30; and Casey Dunn scored 18 points as Days Creek slid by North Douglas 42-41.
Austin Potter had 19 points for the Warriors.
