There's a new leader atop the Mountain View Conference boys basketball standings. North Douglas won its eighth consecutive game Tuesday night with a 56-39 victory at Days Creek.

Mason Colburn led the Warriors (11-1, 18-3) with 16 points, while Kasey Dunn had a team-high 13 for the Wolves (11-2, 18-3).

Oakland (7-5, 10-11) is back in the playoff hunt after an 0-8 start to the season. Zach Dickson had 16 points and Cole Barrows added 15 points and 10 rebounds as the Oakers beat Riddle 68-29; and Yoncalla (8-5, 10-9) got by Glendale 79-42.

There was a limited schedule on Tuesday as first-place Roseburg (6-1, 13-4) beat Crater 46-30; Glide downed Reedsport 72-29; and UVC upset Douglas 65-60 in a non-league game in Winston.

The Riddle girls went into overtime to beat Oakland 59-56 in a battle for first-place in the MVC. The Irish (11-2, 19-2) lead the Oakers (10-2, 14-7) by a half game.

Yoncalla (10-3, 13-7) moved into third place with a 51-44 victory over Glendale; and Days Creek upended North Douglas 32-18.

Elsewhere, Roseburg lost at home to Crater 52-40; and Glide blew out Reedsport 55-29.
