Riddle had to go to triple overtime to win the fourth place trophy at the OSAA 2A girls state tournament Saturday morning at the Pendleton Convention Center.

Pele Gianotti scored a game-high 36 points and pulled down 17 rebounds as the Irish (26-3) erased a 21-point second half deficit to beat Riverdale 73-66 in the consolation final.

Mel Gianotti added 13 points and 13 rebounds; and Kailee Hanson finished with 11 points in the victory.

North Douglas withstood a fourth quarter comeback and beat conference rival Days Creek 42-40 in the boys consolation championship game Saturday afternoon in Pendleton.

The Warriors (25-5) held a 41-31 lead late in the fourth quarter, but consecutive three-pointers by Tyler Carmen, Kevin Smith and Johnny Walters pulled the Wolves (25-5) within one point. Austin Potter made one of two free throws, but Days Creek missed three shots in the final seconds and North Douglas held on for the two point win.

Potter led North Douglas with 10 points, while Days Creek's Johnny Walters finished with a game-high 17 points.
