The Roseburg boys golf team is headed to the Class 6A state tournament.

The Indians (627) finished in second place at the Southwest Conference district tournament held at the Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell. South Eugene (621) won the event by six strokes; North Medford (651) was third.  

Brad Seehawer, Garrick Knowles, Arie Yraguen, and Drew Groshong will compete at the 6A state tourney May 16-17 at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks.

Roseburg's Ashlynn Persing and Breanna Barraza both qualified for state on the girls side.

As a team, the Indians (755) finished in third place behind Sheldon (697) and South Eugene (744).

The district championships took place at the Rogue Valley Country Club in Medford.
