Glide seniors Marissa Duarte and Alexa Skinner shared the Sunset Conference's 'player of the year' honors.

The duo helped lead the Wildcats to a perfect 28-0 record and a 3A state championship.

Julie VanDeHey of Glide was also named the league's top coach.

Joining Duarte and Skinner on the first team are teammates McKenzie Shrum (P); junior Kelsey Jefferies (IF); senior Danette Enos (OF); and senior Danielle Enos (OF).

Glendale's Andy Owens is the District 2 'coach of the year" after guiding his team to the 2011 league title.

The Pirates (20-2, 26-3) made it all the way to the 2A/1A semifinals before being eliminated by Western Mennonite.

Five Glendale players were selected to the first team including sophomore Elizabeth McGuire (P); sophomore Lizeth Silva (C); junior Morgan Streeter (IF); senior Faith Williams (OF); and freshman Jennifer Staten (DH).

North Douglas High's Allyse Doudna (P) and Kaitlynn Rice (C); Riddle's Kelsy Reid (1B) and Kailee Hanson (IF); and Yoncalla's Haley Reynolds (IF), Brezzy Joslyn (U) and Kelsey Ritter (OF) also received first-team recognition.
