m_cavens.jpgFive local track and field athletes have qualified for the upcoming National Junior Olympics in Wichita, Kansas.

Roseburg High School's Korey Smith (110m and 400m hurdles), Madison Cavens (100m and 400m hurdles), Kenny Freeman (1500m and 3000m) and Ryan Foster (javelin); along with Douglas freshman Jacklyn Navarro (pole vault) earned a spot in the national event after their performances at the regional meet in Spokane, Washington.

The National Junior Olympics will take place July 28-31.
