Following Derek Priestley being hit by a pitch, Mike Morin's sacrifice attempt was fielded by the Challenger pitcher and thrown into right field, allowing Priestley to score. Then, Jared Priestley's sac bunt was also thrown wide by the pitcher allowing Morin to score the winning run.

Righthander Austin Marsh gave up one run and seven hits over 7.2 innings, but did not factor in the decision.
