Salem Withnell scored nine unanswered runs and handed Dr. Stewart's its first loss at the 2011 AAA American Legion Baseball state tournament in Eugene.

The game was tied 3-3 before the Dodgers scored five times in the bottom of the fourth inning and added four more runs in the fifth enroute to a 14-4 victory.

Roseburg's Brandon Jackson and Austin Stone each went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

The Docs (26-19) take on Portland Eastside in an elimination game Saturday afternoon at 3:30.

Host Eugene was eliminated by Medford 11-9; and Portland sent Salem home with a 15-5 win over Post #9.
