The 2011 High School sports season in Oregon is just around the corner.

According to the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA), the first practice date is set for Monday, August 22.

The first contest date is Thursday, September 1.

Fall sports include football, volleyball, soccer and cross country.

The official end of the fall season is marked by the 6A football championship on December 10.
