Sophomore Jazmine Herrington had 14 kills as Days Creek beat North Douglas 26-24, 25-11, 22-25, 25-17 in a Mountain View Conference volleyball match Tuesday night in Drain.

With the victory, the Wolves improved to 8-0 in league, while the Warriors (6-3) remained in third place behind Oakridge.

Yoncalla upended Riddle 25-16, 25-18, 28-26; and Oakland (4-5) surprised Glendale (5-4) 19-25, 25-16, 23-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Roseburg downed Eagle Point 20-25, 25-12, 22-25, 25-23, 15-7 in a non-league match at Stewart Robertston Memorial Gymnasium.

Anna Bruns had 19 kills and setter Vanessa Bentley added 48 assists for the Indians.

"We were very lucky to survive a scrappy Eagle Point team," RHS head coach Bruce Myers said.

Sutherlin defeated Douglas 27-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-17 behind 21 kills and 18 digs from senior Kelsey Hill.

Both teams are now 2-2 in the Far West League.

Elsewhere, South Umpqua won its first league game of the season with 25-22, 25-17, 21-25, 25-19 victory over Brookings-Harbor; Glide beat Bandon 25-14, 25-10, 25-12; Reedsport downed Myrtle Point  25-17, 24-26, 25-13, 25-15; and UVC handled Powers 25-20, 25-15, 25-10.
