Days Creek is the 2011 OSAA 2A volleyball state champions.

The Wolves (27-2) earned the title thanks to a 25-23, 25-21, 26-24 victory over Portland Christian Saturday night at Pacific University in Forest Grove.

Stevielee Jansen had nine kills, while Taylor Ellis and Jazmyn Herrington combined for 19 assists as Days Creek completed a perfect 3-0 record at the tournament.

Saturday's championship marked the Wolves' third state title under head coach Ron Dunn.

Reedsport (23-4) took home the third-place trophy with a 25-22, 22-25, 25-16, 26-24 win over Heppner. Meanwhile, North Douglas (19-7) was eliminated by Culver 25-13, 25-12, 25-9.

Roseburg (26-6) lost the consolation championshp Saturday afternoon at the 6A state tournament in Hillsboro.

The Indians beat West Linn in straight sets to advance to the final, but were stopped by Barlow 19-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-15. 

The other 2011 state champions are Central Catholic (6A), Summit (5A), Crook County (4A), Burns (3A) and Ione (1A).
