Quarterback Jordan Shaffer tossed seven touchdown passes as Douglas beat Stayton 45-13 in an opening round game of the OSAA 4A state playoffs Friday night in Winston.
Riley Lavin was on the receiving end of five of those TD throws, while Trever Knutson and Nate Vosika accounted for the other two scores.
Next Friday, the Trojans (8-3) will travel to Elmira (10-1) for a quarterfinal game with the Falcons.
Earlier this season, Elmira beat Douglas 57-27.
Roseburg's defense caused 10 turnovers in a 42-19 victory over Lakeridge in a 6A playoff game at Finlay Field.
The Indians scored first on a 22 yard interception return by Ben Goirigolzarri and extended the lead to 35-0 by halftime. Javier Mandera and Selmar Hutchins each scored a pair of touchdowns as Roseburg improved to 8-3 on the season.
Next up, the Indians play conference foe South Medford (10-1) November 18 at Speigelberg Stadium.
On Saturday, Oakland beat Enterprise 47-20 to set up a quarterfinal matchup with Monroe next Friday; North Douglas was beaten by Gold Beach 62-0; and Camas Valley (11-0) advanced into the 1A quarterfinals with a 64-6 win over Joseph.
