autsin_page_2012.jpg Cameron Reese scored 19 points to lead five Lancers in double figures as South Umpqua upended Brookings-Harbor 73-70 in overtime during a Far West League boys basketball game Tuesday night in Tri City.

The Lancers (3-0, 12-4) took a 49-40 lead heading into the final quarter thanks to freshman Erik Johnson's three-point buzzer beater from midcourt. The lead was short lived as the Bruins scored the first seven points of the fourth quarter and eventually held a 56-52 advantage.

Zach O'Dowd and Blake Johnson each hit a pair of free throws to tie the game, but South Umpqua's Nathan Phillips missed a jumper as time expired and the game went into overtime tied at 60.

Reese hit a three-pointer to give the Lancers a one-point lead and SU hit 8-of-11 free throws in the extra period to win the game by three.

Other Lancers in double figures were Erik Johnson (15); Blake Johnson (13); Nathan Phillips (11) and Austin Page (10).

Nick Corperning led Brookings (1-2, 4-10) with a game-high 28 points.
