Five Douglas County basketball teams are state tournament bound.

Riddle (21-5) and Oakland (19-8) punched their tickets to the girls 2A tourney in Pendleton with playoff victories on Friday. Elkton (17-8) beat Hosanna Christian 60-57 to qualify for the 1A tournament in Baker City.

The Elkton boys are also headed to the final eight in Baker thanks to a 72-59 win over Triangle Lake on Saturday.    

Days Creek (23-4) will make a return trip to the 2A championships after its 60-56 triumph against visiting Gaston.
