Five Roseburg wrestlers advanced to the championship match of their respective weight classes at the OSAA 6A state championships Friday in Portland.

Brody Faas (138); Reed Van Anrooy (145); Hector Mandera (152); Ian Thomas (152); Marq Randall (285) are all wrestling for state titles Saturday night. Teammates Mandera and Thomas will battle each other for the crown at 152 pounds.

The top-ranked Indians (222) have a 124-point lead over second place David Douglas (98); Crater (95.5); Oregon City (90); Sprague (89); Hillsboro (79); and Redmond (75).

Cole Van Anrooy (113); Tommy Dill (120); Javier Mandera (160); Andrew Wheaton (182); Selmar Hutchins III (195); and Teran Reedy (195) won their first matches, but were beaten in the quarterfinals.

Cameron Mesa (132) lost his opening match, but was victorious in the consolation quarterfinals.

Sophomore Max Hane (160) was the lone Roseburg wrestler to lose twice on Friday.
