Oakland captured the fourth-place trophy at the 2012 OSAA 2A girls basketball state tournament Saturday morning in Pendleton.

Brooke Spencer scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Oakers to a 33-24 win over Portland Christian in the consolation championship game. 

Oakland ends the season with an overall record of 21-9.  

Sutherlin is headed to the OSAA 4A state tournament in Corvallis. 

Kelsey Hill had 14 points and Ricki Mock added 10 points in a 48-22 victory over Ontario.

The Bulldogs (26-0) open tournament action on Wednesday, March 7 at Gill Coliseum.
