The Sutherlin High School girls basketball team is headed to the OSAA 4A state championship game.

Kelsey Hill scored a game-high 19 points and freshman Miranda Mendenhall had 10 points in a 39-32 win over Banks in a semifinal contest Friday night at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis. The Bulldogs (28-0) led by nine points at halftime and stretched the lead to 29-15 after three quarters.

The Braves (20-5) outscored the Far West League champs 11-2 to open the final quarter and cut the lead to just five points. However, Sutherlin pushed the lead back to double figures and hung on for the seven-point win.

The Bulldogs will play Henley in the state title game Saturday night at 6:30PM.
