rhs_softball_0511.jpgThe Roseburg softball team is picked to finish in the middle of the pack according to the Southern Oregon Conference preseason coaches poll.

North Medford (16) received four of the five first-place votes and is predicted to win the league followed by Crater (12); Roseburg (11); Grants Pass (6); and South Medford (5).

The Indians return three second team all-conference selections including senior oufielders Beccah Maley and Justine Rhines, along with junior pitcher Makinna Akers.

Last season, Roseburg finished 8-8 in conference and 17-11 overall.
