Baseball coaches from around the state have selected Roseburg as the number one team in the initial Class 6A poll of the 2012 season.

The Indians (54) received five first-place votes followed closely by Lake Oswego (51) and Central Catholic (46).

Rounding out the top ten are Jesuit (42); Westview (27); North Medford (24); Clackamas (15); Tualatin (15); Crater (13); and Sunset (13).

Through the first seven games of the season, Roseburg (6-1) is averaging more than nine runs per contest.
